In the Beginning There Were n Agents: Founding and Amending a Constitution

Consider n agents forming an egalitarian, self-governed community. Their first task is to decide on a decision rule make further decisions. We start from rather general initial agreement the decision-making process based upon set of intuitive and self-evident axioms, as well simplifying assumptions about preferences agents. From these humble beginnings we derive rule. Crucially, also specifies how it can be changed, or amended, thus acts de facto constitution. Our main contribution in providing example that simple intuitive, constitution logically follows it. The naive basic making – approve disapprove proposals; their vote determines either acceptance rejection each proposal; which are requirements regarding engenders self-updating process.
